Pottery Text.jpg

Seed-on-Hudson Pottery is an artist studio focused on wheel-thrown and hand-built vessels designed to accompany both fresh and dried flowers. I threw my first pot in 1990 and only recently returned to clay after an 18-year hiatus. All of my early work was predominately glaze-focused, and I'm now concentrating on form and surface texture.

Similar to nursing a plant from seed to flower and back to seed, I love the creative process of shaping clay into a solid form that can be cherished and reused for years, gifted to a loved one, or simply broken down again and recycled (broken pottery makes great drainage material for the bottom of newly potted plants).

I can't wait to share more with you!
